OREANDA-NEWS. The process of the disintegration of Ukraine began in 2014, with a coup d'état and the secession of Crimea from its composition. Currently, many Ukrainians living in the west of the country are taking citizenship of other states, said State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin. He was quoted by TASS.
The collapse of Ukraine began after the coup d'état back in 2014, when Crimea withdrew from its composition. The DPR and LPR declared their independence, having also withdrawn from Ukraine, the parliamentarian said.
He also noted that many residents of the western regions of Ukraine today take the citizenship of Hungary and Poland. In addition, more than five million people have recently left the country.
According to Volodin, all this does not add stability to Ukraine. It may lose other territories as well, since statements are already being heard that Kherson and a number of other regions do not want to remain part of Ukraine.
Currently, the entire Kherson region and the Azov part of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine are under the control of the Russian military. Military-civilian administrations have been formed there, broadcasting of Russian TV channels and radio stations has been launched, and trade ties with Crimea are being restored. The head of the administration of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, said that two languages will be used in the region - Ukrainian and Russian. According to him, this system has been debugged since Soviet times.
