OREANDA-NEWS Business in the Russian Federation should be nationally oriented so that the earned funds are used for the development of the country. The issues of ensuring the work of such a business are a priority for the State Duma, the speaker of the chamber Vyacheslav Volodin said in his Telegram channel on Monday.
"It is important that the business is nationally oriented, the earned funds remain in the country and are used for its development.Much remains to be done. This is a priority of the State Duma," Volodin said.
He recalled that in 2022, a law had already been passed banning the issuance of licenses for the development of subsurface resources, oil and gas fields to foreign companies. Now they are obliged to create legal entities in the Russian Federation. In addition, foreign participation is also legally prohibited in concessions related to transport infrastructure and transportation. Deputies also adopted in the first reading a bill preventing offshore companies from being concessionaires in the housing and utilities sector, Volodin recalled.
"75.9% of foreign companies remained in Russia. This decision speaks volumes: they believe in good prospects for the development of our country's economy, they are satisfied with the business climate. Those who left suffer billions of dollars in costs," Volodin stressed.
