Vladimir Zelenski Becomes Murashko's Second First Deputy

OREANDA-NEWS. Vladimir Zelensky, who previously headed the Moscow Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, has been appointed first deputy head of the Russian Health Ministry, the Cabinet press service has said, citing an order from Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
It is noted that the new deputy head of the Ministry of Health was born in 1979 in Moscow. In 2000, he graduated from the Academy of Budget and Treasury of the RF Ministry of Finance, majoring in accounting and auditing. He also studied law at the Russian Legal Academy of the Russian Ministry of Justice.
It is emphasised that Vladimir Zelenski started his career in the banking sphere: from 2000 to 2007, he held various positions in the Budgetary Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance. In 2007, he became assistant to the Minister of Health and Social Development, and then headed the Department of Health Insurance Development. From 2012, for three years, he headed the Department of Budgetary Policy in the Social Sphere and Science. In 2014, he became head of the Moscow City Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, where he has worked to date.
Vladimir Zelensky is an active state councillor, 2nd Class, PhD in Economics. He was awarded the Medal of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, 2nd Class, and has a Letter of Commendation from the President of Russia.
