OREANDA-NEWS A solemn flower-laying ceremony was held at the National Pantheon of Venezuela on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of relations with Russia with the participation of Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, Foreign Minister Ivan Gil and Russian Ambassador Sergei Melik-Baghdasarov, the Russian diplomatic mission reported.

"Today, on the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Venezuela, a solemn flower-laying ceremony took place in the National Pantheon of Caracas – a symbol of respect, friendship and strong historical ties that unite our countries," the embassy said in a Telegram channel.

The ceremony was attended by Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergey Melik-Baghdasarov, Vice President of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Gil, representatives of the Venezuelan authorities and members of the diplomatic corps.

"This solemn moment once again confirms the unwavering commitment of our countries to strengthening fraternal ties based on trust, mutual understanding and cooperation. New joint projects, initiatives and chapters in the history of our strategic partnership await us," Russian Ambassador Melik-Baghdasarov said during the ceremony.
