OREANDA-NEWS. The magazine New Scientist reports that American developers are creating a submarine, which uses artificial intelligence and potentially does not require an order to attack.

The project is named CLAWS, and the documents present it as an autonomous undersea weapon system for clandestine use. The tests of the first samples of CLAWS have already been successfully completed. It is planned to arm the Navy with a new submarine in 2023. The publication says that CLAWS will allow the military to carry out “complex missions on their own”, will help eliminate underwater mines and lay the optimal route.

It is known that the development of a submarine is conducted by the engineers of the company Boeing, which has been cooperating with the US Department of Defense for a long time.
