OREANDA-NEWS. CNN channel informs citing sources that American missile systems Patriot deployed in the Middle East, as well as all other US military in the region, were placed on high alert after intelligence reported about the threat of Iranian attacks with drones.

“There were indications that we needed to monitor the threats” even more closely than is already being done, one of the US officials said. The second interlocutor confirmed that the military had been being on high alert for several days, but on Monday evening the level of vigilance was further increased, as it became known about the “imminent attack threat.”

According to CNN, US intelligence is tracking the movement of military equipment, including drones and ballistic missiles, in the territory of Iran. The channel’s sources note that such actions can be either an attempt of Tehran to hide equipment from blows from the United States or preparation for attack.

The USA considers its military bases in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Jordan to be possible targets for Iran’s strikes.
