OREANDA-NEWS. The chairman of the intergovernmental council of the UNESCO Information for All Program (IFAP), Dorothy Gordon, and the Deputy Director General of the Communication and Information Sector of UNESCO, Moes Chakchuk, rated the level and speed of digitalization in Russia as high. This was reported on Monday in the press service of the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, such a statement was made during the 15th World Conference on Intellectual Capital "Artificial Intelligence and the Next Generation of Competences", which was held at UNESCO headquarters from July 11-12. Russia received special guest-country status at the conference.

During the event, Mikhail Nasibulin, Director of the Department of Coordination and Implementation of Digital Economy Projects of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, presented the national program Digital Economy of the Russian Federation to world experts. In particular, the report sounded information about the connection to the Internet of 100 thousand socially significant facilities throughout the country in the next three years, and about the development of super-services - proactive electronic services combined in basic life situations.

Also, emphasis was placed on the achievements of Russia in the field of "cross-cutting" digital technologies on the example of domestic development in the field of facial recognition, thanks to which several crimes were prevented during the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The launch of super-services in Russia is provided for by the national project "Digital Economy". The Presidium of the government commission on digital development, the use of information technologies to improve the quality of life and business conditions on February 4 identified 25 priority life situations for which super-services will be created.
