OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian media reported on April 15 that the state-owned energy company Naftogaz of Ukraine is preparing to file an arbitration lawsuit against the Slovak Republic.

In particular, the company has already announced a tender for the purchase of legal services to examine the possibility of initiating investment arbitration proceedings against Slovakia. According to public information, the expected cost of those services is 15 million euros. It is known that the reason for such a research is the actions of representatives of Bratislava connected with the fulfillment of the arbitral decision adopted in favor of Italia Ukraina Gas S.p.a., as well is commission of related activities undertaken in the interests of Naftogaz.

The company itself has not yet made a statement in this regard.
