OREANDA-NEWS. The head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Yury Gusev, reported that in autumn Ukraine will conduct military exercises according to the Estonian model, and the exact dates for the maneuvers will be determined taking into account the Russian exercises Caucasus-2020.

Earlier, Ukraine and Estonia signed a declaration in which Estonia offered Ukraine to share its experience in creating territorial defense based on volunteer units. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that in the Kherson Region, a pilot project of territorial defense according to the Estonian model will be launched.

“In autumn, we plan to hold large-scale exercises… Now, together with the operational command South and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we are determining exact dates taking into account exercises planned by the aggressor country,” Gusev said. He also clarified that Ukrainian exercises will last about a month.
