OREANDA-NEWS. Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Valeriy Potseluyko said about a "very strong blow" on Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the OBOZREVATEL TV channel.
According to Potseluyko , such an attack was the closure of opposition television channels in the country. “The steps introduced by the NSDC (National Security and Defense Council ), which the president introduced, are very powerful steps,” said.
The politician added that the closure of the channels of the chairman of the political council of the Opposition Platform - For Life party Viktor Medvedchuk and deputy Taras Kozak was a blow to the Russian "instrument of influence in Ukraine." “I am sure that this is a very strong blow and shock for Russia,” said Potseuiko.
Earlier it was reported that the NSDC imposed sanctions against the head of Medvedchuk and his wife, TV presenter Oksana Marchenko. The secretary of the department, Oleksiy Danilov, said that these measures were taken due to the investigation by the Security Service of Ukraine on the financing of terrorism. Also, sanctions were imposed against the TV channels "112 Ukraine", ZIK and NewsOne, which belong to the deputy from the Opportunity for Life Program Taras Kozak. The PLWH later called the sanctions "a planned act of political repression."
