OREANDA-NEWS. Despite the fact that since July 27 a truce has been established on the contact line in Donbass, the forces of the self-proclaimed republics have violated the ceasefire. This was stated by the commander of the Operation of the Joint Forces of Ukraine in Donbass, General Volodymyr Kravchenko.

“Unfortunately, at 0:20 – 0:45, the enemy fired at a unit of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade from small arms, anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns,” the officer said at a briefing.

However, the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime reported that no ceasefire violations were reported since midnight of July 27.

On July 22, members of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine within the framework of the Minsk process agreed on a ceasefire on the line of contact in Donbass.
