OREANDA-NEWS In the Saratov region, two young Russians, one of whom is a minor, were given time for sabotage on the railway. This was announced on Wednesday, December 20, by the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).

As the court found, in May 2023, a 21-year-old young man and his 17-year-old friend entered the transport infrastructure facility of the Volga Railway and set fire to a relay cabinet. The head of the sabotage group was the eldest of the convicts, whose actions were supervised by a curator through a messenger.

The total damage to the facility amounted to 169 thousand rubles. According to the court verdict, a 21-year-old young man was sentenced to three years in prison, his younger accomplice went to an educational colony for five years.
