Two Turkish Servicemen Were Killed in a Clash with Militants in Syria
OREANDA-NEWS. Two military men of Turkish Armed Forces died in Syrian governorate of Idlib during engineering reconnaissance of the M4 motorway. This was reported by the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides in Syria and confirmed by the Turkish Ministry of National Defense. It is supposed that this happened as a result of an attack by radical groups.
“During engineering reconnaissance of the motorway M4 near the settlement of Mhanbel, Turkish troops were attacked by militants of one of terrorist groups not under Turkish control. During the clash, two Turkish soldiers died,” a head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation Oleg Zhuravlyov said. The Turkish Ministry of Defense reported that “multiple retaliatory measures have been taken.”
