OREANDA-NEWS. Two employees of the Department of the Ministry of Interior in the Tatyshlinsky district were sentenced to imprisonment in a strict regime colony for a term of 10 years 1 month.  Police officers were accused of abuse of office and drug trafficking.

 According to the investigation and the court, in April 2016, an operative and the local police department in the Tatyshlinsky district “with the aim of increasing the detection rate” convinced a local resident that they were conducting operational search activities and asked him to sell drugs to his friend for money.

  The management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus appointed a service check, and the police officers were suspended from their official duties.  After the entry into force of the court’s verdict, it will be decided to dismiss them from the internal affairs bodies on negative grounds.
