OREANDA-NEWS  The candidate for the post of president of Turkey, the leader of the Rodina party, Dogu Perincek, said that he recognizes Crimea and the new regions as Russian. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Perincek said that a month ago he spoke at the opening of the conference on the integration of Azerbaijan into Eurasia in Baku and was its guest of honor.

"There I strongly emphasized that Crimea is part of the territory of the Russian Federation. The Motherland Party has declared that it recognizes the new republics," the Turkish politician said.

Earlier, Perincek promised to fight sanctions against Russia if elected to the post of head of Turkey. He stressed that his party does not recognize restrictions against Moscow. "Sanctions against Russia are sanctions against Turkey, and we will use the golden opportunity to fight these sanctions," the politician concluded.
