During a meeting of the government commission for the development of tourism in Russia, Texler said that the Chelyabinsk Region remains the leader in the Ural Federal District (UrFO) in terms of the length of stay of tourists. "Since the beginning of this year, the tourist flow in the region has amounted to about 1.4 million trips. The number of hotel accommodations has increased by almost 8 percent since the beginning of 2024 compared to last year," the press service of the regional government reports.

Earlier it was reported that Russians en masse rushed to the Far East for a vacation. So, it turned out that in the summer of 2024, Primorsky Krai became the most popular region for trips lasting 5-14 days for tourists — 29 percent of travelers went there. In addition, interest in Sakhalin, as well as in the Kamchatka Territory, has grown.
