OREANDA-NEWS  The Basmanny court of Moscow has arrested two retro cars of the former deputy head of the Ministry of Defense (MO) of Russia Timur Ivanov. This is reported by TASS.

The arrest was imposed on a 1942 Packard Super 8 Series 180 car. This limousine was developed in the USA in 1939 and was supplied to the USSR. It was equipped with air conditioners and power windows. The second arrested retro car is a 1939 Opel Admiral.

Earlier, the court arrested a small motor vessel of the Aluma Storm brand, model 577, owned by Ivanov. In addition, the former deputy head of the Russian Defense Ministry extended the arrest for three months.

Initially, he was charged with a bribe of 1.125 billion rubles. Later, the investigation found that Timur Ivanov and other defendants, acting as part of an organized group, from October 24, 2018 to December 31, 2023, received a bribe from the co-founder and representatives of Olympcitystroy LLC in the form of illegal provision of property services to them.

The Deputy Defense Minister was detained at his workplace and arrested at the end of April. He was charged under Article 290 ("Receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He later announced his resignation.
