OREANDA-NEWS  A court in Kazan announced a verdict against three members of an organized group (organized criminal group) who placed four disabled people in a dependent position and used their slave labor. About this was informed by the prosecutor's office of Tatarstan.

The accomplices were found guilty under paragraph "a" of part 3 of Article 127.1 ("Human trafficking") and part 3 of Article 127.2 ("Use of slave labor") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. One of them received 8 years and 2 months in a maximum security colony, and the other two received 8.5 years in a general regime colony.

According to investigators, in the period from 2018 to 2021, the attackers placed four disabled people in a dependent position and, threatening violence, used their labor for free to beg money from local residents. They did not admit their guilt.

Earlier it became known that two brothers in the Volgodonsky district of the Rostov region will go on trial for using slave labor on farmland.
