OREANDA-NEWS The volume of trade between Russia and Abkhazia has increased 1.5 times since pre-pandemic times, this is a very good result, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"I was told, it was interesting information that the volume of trade has increased 1.5 times since the pre-pandemic times. This is a very good result," the minister said at a meeting with his Abkhaz counterpart Sergei Shamba.

The Russian Foreign Minister noted that Russia will continue to provide assistance to Abkhazia in socio-economic development, and also pointed to the implementation of a joint investment program.

"And the fact that the growth rate of the gross domestic product of the Republic of Abkhazia is twice as fast as planned, this is a very good result," Lavrov added.
