OREANDA-NEWS A business forum of entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and the Sverdlovsk Region is scheduled to be held in Yekaterinburg on September 30, the Doone news agency of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported on Friday.

According to the agency, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg Zhakhongir Parmanov and President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andrey Besedin discussed the development and expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and the Sverdlovsk region.

"Following the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached on holding meetings of Uzbek and Russian businessmen on September 30 this year," the message says.

Representatives of large businesses working in manufacturing, service and other fields from the Sverdlovsk region will be invited to the planned business forum, the agency added.

According to the trade representative office of the Russian Federation in the republic, about 80 Russian regions cooperate with Uzbekistan, Tatarstan, Chelyabinsk region and Moscow are the most active.
