OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the US authorities, after the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counter-offensive, introduced a new mantra. They say that Russian President Vladimir Putin cannot be allowed to win in Ukraine, since he could then conquer NATO.

Earlier in Washington they talked about the importance of Russia's strategic defeat on the battlefield. Now the United States understands that Russia is winning. They are afraid that the Russian army may advance further. Washington wants to convince the whole world that Russia threatens NATO and European countries.
