OREANDA-NEWS  The world is closer than ever to a nuclear conflict between the United States and Russia. Scott Ritter, a retired intelligence officer of the US Marine Corps, stated this in his blog on the Substack platform.

"Last week we came closer to the nuclear conflict between the United States and Russia than at any time since the Cuban Missile crisis of 1962. Today we have become even closer," the retired military intelligence officer wrote.

According to Ritter, anyone who has not thought about the possible "end of the world" is most likely "brainless, or stuck in some remote corner of the world."

Earlier, Ritter said that Russia would win the conflict in Ukraine under any possible scenario.
