OREANDA-NEWS The United States has added Polyus and Polymetal holding structure to the sanctions list of Russian gold producers, which are among the largest miners of precious metals in the world. This is stated in the report on the website of the Ministry of Finance of the country.

The SDN list also includes former and current Polyus executives Pavel Grachev and Alexey Vostokov, as well as Senior Vice President Vladimir Polin. The restrictions also affected the subsidiaries of the company — "Polyus Krasnoyarsk", "UK Polyus", "Polyus service", "Polyus Aldan".

Against the background of news about the tightening of sanctions, Polyus shares fell by almost five percent. And the securities of the Russian Polymetal have lost more than 11 percent of their value.

In addition, the United States expanded the sanctions list at the expense of oil and gas companies and scientific institutes. Thus, the Research and Design Institute "RN-BashNIPIneft", "Inkomneft", "Mashoil", the oilfield service company "Tatburneft", "Gazpromneft-Noyabrskgeofizika" were under sanctions. Restrictions were also imposed against the company Vygon Consulting, which is engaged in consulting and research in the field of fuel and energy.

The United States has also expanded the list of American goods prohibited for export to Russia. Antiques, alcohol, watches, carpets, cosmetics and perfumes were among the new products under the sanctions. In total, the US Department of Commerce imposed sanctions against 70 organizations associated with Russia. Both domestic companies and firms from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, the UAE, Spain, Singapore and Malta fell under export restrictions. More than 40 people were personally sanctioned.
