OREANDA-NEWS. The press service of the Sixth Fleet of the United States for the second time in four days reported about dangerous interception of the multimission aircraft P-8A Poseidon by the Russian fighter Su-35 in the sky over the Mediterranean Sea.

According to the US military, the incident occurred on April 19. They inform that P-8A Poseidon was intercepted twice within 100 minutes. It is noted that the first interception is regarded as safe and professional, but the second posed a threat to the crew, as the Russian fighter approached a distance of less than 8 meters.

On April 15, the US military made a similar statement. It was reported that Su-35 intercepted P-8A Poseidon and approached it closer than 8 meters. Because of this, the crew of the American aircraft experienced turbulence.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on these messages.
