OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian government will submit to the State Duma a bill on a simplified procedure for issuing permits for temporary residence in Russia for foreign students. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The message says: "It will become easier for foreign students to obtain a temporary residence permit and obtain a residence permit in Russia. Such a bill was approved at a government meeting on June 10. In the near future it will be sent to the State Duma."

We are talking about foreign citizens who study at Russian state universities or are engaged in scientific activities. According to the bill, temporary residence permits for these students will be issued immediately for the entire period of study, and not for three years, as before. In addition, within three years after graduation, such students will be able to obtain a residence permit in a simplified manner.

The proposed solution will save students and universities themselves from the need to waste time on processing unnecessary documents.

Meanwhile, it is reported that students from leading Moscow universities will take the session and pass certification remotely. This decision was made by the heads of some educational institutions after the announcement of non-working days in Moscow.
