OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Soyuz launch vehicle will launch two Iranian satellites into orbit on November 5, said Kazem Jalali, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Moscow.

"In continuation of the development of scientific and technological Iranian-Russian cooperation, two Iranian satellites "Kousar" and "Hadhad" will be launched into a 500-kilometer Earth orbit on Tuesday at 2:48 a.m. Tehran time by a Soyuz launch vehicle," he wrote on the social network X.

In turn, the Embassy of the republic clarified in the Telegram channel that the launch will be carried out on November 5. Jalali expressed hope that with the launch of these satellites, designed and built by representatives of the Omid Phase company, Iran will take "a decisive first step towards the entry of the private sector into the space sphere."

In early October, it became known that Tehran would launch three remote sensing satellites produced in the country — Kosvar, Tolo-3 and Zafar-2 into orbit by the end of March 2025. A system of three devices will allow receiving and transmitting data to facilitate decision-making during natural disasters, especially where the ground infrastructure is not functioning.

Earlier it was reported that in the current calendar year, which lasts from March 20, 2024 to March 20, 2025, Iran plans to complete the creation of the second prototype of the Pars-1 satellite and prepare the Nahid-2 and Saman-1 satellites for launch.
