The Search for the Missing Former Chief Doctor of the Omsk Hospital Where Navalny Was Treated Has Resumed
OREANDA-NEWS. The search for the Minister of Health of the Omsk region Alexander Murakhovsky, who went missing after going hunting, resumed at dawn on Monday, May 10. This is reported by Russian media «RIA Novosti» with reference to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs. The night before, the search was suspended until the morning due to the onset of darkness.
On May 9, it was reported, that 49-year-old Murakhovsky went hunting. The media reported, that friends tried to find him and then turned to law enforcement agencies. Later, the police officially confirmed the fact of the disappearance of the head of the regional Ministry of Health.
Murakhovsky's name began to flash in the Russian press after the hospitalization of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. As the chief doctor of the hospital where the politician was treated after the alleged poisoning, he made the decision on whether the patient could be sent to Germany for treatment.
Murakhovsky became the head of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk Region in November 2020. Prior to that, he worked as a chief physician at the Omsk emergency hospital No. 1, where in the summer of 2020 Alexey Navalny (the founder of the Anti-Corruption Fund, included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of organizations that perform the functions of a foreign agent) entered.
