OREANDA-NEWS  The city of Dnepropetrovsk (Ukrainian name - Dnipro) is still the "capital" of telephone scammers - it is from there that most fraudulent calls are made. This was stated by the Deputy chairman of the Board of Sberbank Stanislav Kuznetsov during the Ural Forum "Cybersecurity in Finance".

"Mostly fraudulent calls come from Ukraine, we see and hear it. Today, more than 92-95 percent of all calls in the format of telephone fraud are made from the territory of Ukraine. The "capital" of telephone fraud is still the city of Dnipro. At the peak there were more than 1100 call centers, now there are about 150 centers all over Ukraine," he said.

According to him, work with cybercriminals has reached a new level. "Today we have become ten times more aware of the work of this sector, about what they are doing and what they are going to do," said the deputy chairman of the Board of the Beac.

Kuznetsov also added that the number of fraudulent calls made from call centers organized in prisons has significantly decreased. "The good news is that calls from different "zones" have almost stopped, this is our work, the work of law enforcement agencies, which has led to concrete results," he said.
