The Russian unified history textbook for grades 5-9 will be ready in 2024

OREANDA-NEWS Unified history textbook for primary school (grades 5-9) it will be ready within the next year, said the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.
"And now a history textbook is being prepared for the primary school. During the next year," Kravtsov said in an interview with Izvestia, answering the question when it is planned to complete the development of textbooks for primary school.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Education informed Interfax that the completion of the preparation and testing of unified history textbooks for schoolchildren is scheduled for the period until September 1, 2023.
The department noted that the recently published history textbook for grades 11 discusses, in particular, such topics as the coup d'etat in Ukraine in 2014 and the position of the Russian Federation; the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia and its international consequences; a special military operation (2022); the introduction of political and economic sanctions by the United States and its allies against Russia and their consequences.
Earlier, the Minister of Education reported that a new unified textbook on universal history and the history of Russia for grades 11 has been prepared, under the guidance of MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov and presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky.
