The Russian Prime Minister Has Set a Goal to Stop the Rise in Housing Prices in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. As Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin said during the meeting with leaders of the State Duma factions, the Russian government will seek to contain housing prices.
He noted that Deputy Prime Minister of the country Marat Khusnullin is currently working on simplifying procedures in the construction sector, designed to reduce the construction time, as well as the cost of housing.
Nevertheless, according to the Prime Minister, there are examples in Russia when real estate prices rise due to developers and not through the fault of the government.
Despite this, he announced that the goals to curb the growth of housing prices in Russia have been set, and he very much hopes that the authorities will now try to avoid this growth by all means, as it was stated on the official web-site of State Duma.
This is not the first time recently that the state has raised the issue of increasing the affordability of housing for the population of Russia. So, in September, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that measures to support the demand for housing in general are yielding results.
At the same time, the president stressed that there should be no unreasonable jumps in the cost of housing. Putin also announced the personal responsibility of the heads of the regions for housing construction.
