OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson published on his website, spoke about the situation with the US economy, calling it normal, despite a number of existing problems.

"Yes, we understand and are aware that in the United States, despite all the economic problems, the situation is still normal and the economy is growing decently," he said, specifying that GDP growth in the United States is about 2.5 percent.

At the same time, the Russian leader stressed that in order to ensure the future, it is necessary to "change the approach to what is changing."

Earlier, Putin said that the indicators of the leading economies of Western countries will improve due to their foundation, but now they are "in the red", while positive GDP dynamics is recorded in Russia.
