OREANDA-NEWS The Ukrainian military is strengthening its positions in the Krasnolimansk direction, military expert, retired Lt. Colonel of the LNR Andriy Marochko told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the head of the press center of the Center group, Alexander Savchuk, said that the Ukrainian military tried to regain lost positions in the Krasnolimansk direction, but suffered significant losses after a Russian artillery strike.

"The enemy is strengthening its positions in the Krasnolimansk direction. On the second and third lines (of defense) of Ukrainian positions, there is an engineering retrofitting of existing fortified areas, as well as the construction of new fortifications," Marochko said.

He specified that engineering equipment and cars with building materials arrive at the temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian military.
