The Russian military received five years in prison for evading service

OREANDA-NEWS The Abakan military court sentenced Achita Sagan, a military serviceman, to five years in prison for avoiding service. This was reported by the press service of the 2nd Eastern Military District.
According to the court, on July 9, 2023, Sagan voluntarily left his military unit and moved to the Krasnoyarsk Region, then to Tyva. However, on October 19th, the defendant was still seen at the military commander's office.
Sagan will now serve his sentence at a penal colony. As of yet, the verdict has not been enforced.
Earlier, the Trans-Baikal military court in Burzynski announced a verdict against military serviceman Igor Bochkarev. He was found guilty of avoiding service and will also serve five years in prison.
