OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian coastal missile system "Bastion" struck the airfield of Artsiz in the Odessa region of Ukraine. This was announced on Monday, June 20, by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

According to Konashenkov, a high-precision Onyx missile destroyed the Bayraktar TV2 drone control station, as well as two vehicles of this complex.

In addition, the Russian military hit 11 platoons of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Grad" and 12 artillery platoons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in firing positions. Also, two M777 howitzers were destroyed near the settlement of Podgornoye.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Russia have destroyed 2,055 field artillery and mortars, 3,731 units of special vehicles, 576 MLRS combat vehicles, 3,696 armored vehicles, 345 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM), 1,260 drones, 132 helicopters and 208 aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the agency published footage of the Smerch MLRS strike on the camouflaged AFU airfield. The Ministry of Defense said that it was used as a warehouse of ammunition and military equipment.
