OREANDA-NEWS Twenty servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) surrendered to units of the Russian army near Ugledar. This is reported by TASS.

According to the agency, most of those captured are representatives of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who were mobilized several weeks ago. According to the military, they requested help from the command, but did not receive it.

There are reportedly wounded among the prisoners, and they are receiving the necessary medical care.

Earlier, Ruslan Shevchuk, a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told how his unit was saved by surrender. When the time came for rotation and the unit commander announced that he and his colleagues, who did not have even minimal experience with weapons, should leave the positions on foot on their own, the recruits went out to the Russian military and surrendered.
