The Russian Kickboxing Champion Arrested for the Shooting in «Moscow-City»
OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian kickboxing champion Said Asadulayev was arrested on Tuesday, February 16, by the Basmanny Court of Moscow in the case of a shootout in one of the towers of «Moscow City». He was detained in the «Oko Tower» in 2017 at the scene of a shootout. Asadulayev will spend three months in a pre-trial detention center — until May 18, 2021, TASS reported.
The court did not specify, why the kickboxer was sent to jail right now. As reported by «Kommersant», Asadulayev is accused of taking a direct part in the shooting in the «Oko Tower», and then hiding from the investigation for about three years.
Ex-investigator of the IC of the Russian Federation Levon Aghajanyan was arrested in December 2020. He was accused of falsifying evidence and bringing an innocent person to criminal responsibility in the case of the shooting in «Moscow City».
Said Asadulaev became the Russian kickboxing champion in the weight category up to 75 kilograms in 2013. The athlete was the champion of Moscow in Thai boxing in 2010 and 2013.
The shootout in the «Oko tower» occurred on the evening of November 17, 2017, one person was killed and several were injured.
