OREANDA-NEWS The Interior Ministry has put on the wanted list Oleg Navalny, the younger brother of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, his card appeared in the criminal investigation database.
As lawyer Nikos Paraskevov told RBC, the decision to put Oleg Navalny on the wanted list is related to the submission of the criminal enforcement inspectorate to replace the suspended sentence with a real term.
"The UII believes that Oleg has been hiding from their control for more than 30 days. The defense will appeal both the submission of the UIA and the announcement of Oleg's wanted list in court," Paraskevov said.
The lawyer also noted that it is difficult to answer the question of where Oleg Navalny is now.
The day before, the FSIN appealed to the Lublin Court of Moscow with a request to replace Oleg Navalny's suspended sentence in the "sanitary case" with a real one, since he "does not properly comply with the restrictions imposed by the court."
The case of violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules was opened after an uncoordinated protest in support of Alexei Navalny, which took place on January 23, 2021. In this case, Oleg Navalny was found guilty in August of inciting violation of sanitary and epidemiological norms (Part 4 of Article 33, part 1 of Article 236 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to a year of probation.
In accordance with the restrictions, Navalny could not leave the house from 22:00 to 06:00, attend mass events and leave the capital region.
