OREANDA-NEWS  The launch of the new Office for the Implementation of Trade Sanctions (OTSI) will lead to additional costs for British business and will become an additional obstacle to its development, the Russian Embassy in London said in a comment provided to RIA Novosti.

"For British business, the increased costs associated with reporting to the London sanctions "guardians", as well as considerations of "reinsurance" will become an additional obstacle. They will prevent him from developing mainly dynamically developing markets of non-Western countries that are traditional partners of Russia," the commentary says.

The price of this sanctions "stranglehold" for Britain, historically profiled in foreign trade, will be an increase in the cost of goods and services and, as a result, a further decline in living standards, the diplomatic mission said.

On Thursday, the new Office for the Implementation of Trade Sanctions (OTSI) began work in the UK. It will cooperate with British companies, for which manuals and online tools will be issued to ensure their compliance with the sanctions regime. In addition, the office will be authorized to investigate reports of violations of trade sanctions and impose monetary fines.
