OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian government stressed that the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, did not discuss with the chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Rob Bauer, issues of the safe movement of ships in the Black Sea. The servicemen note that there were no contacts at all.

"There were no contacts, especially "systematic" ones, with the chairman of the NATO military committee or other representatives of the North Atlantic Alliance within the framework of the non-existent "Russian-American crisis commission for conflict resolution"," the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"The published information about reaching some kind of "agreement" with the chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Rob Bauer, on the "safe movement of ships in the Black Sea" is fiction from beginning to end," the ministry said.

They noted that Western media reports about the conversation between Gerasimov and Bauer "are fake."
