OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Defense Ministry has received a new IL-76MD-90A military transport aircraft. 

The aircraft was manufactured at the Ulyanovsk aircraft-building enterprise of the branch of PJSC "Il" - "Aviastar" .

"The plant fulfills its obligations to build aircraft within the framework of the production program of 2023 in order to provide VTA with modern transport vehicles that are in demand today in the troops," said Sergey Sheremetov, director of the branch of PJSC IL Aviastar. 

Earlier it was reported that Aviastar was inspected by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. He instructed to double the production of AN-124 aircraft at the enterprise. This result should be achieved by 2025.
