OREANDA-NEWS   The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue the military special operation in Ukraine, during which our troops continue to liberate the territory of the now Russian Donbass.

This is stated in the latest military summary of the Ministry of Defense, which was announced at a briefing on November 18 by the official representative of the department, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

"In the Donetsk People's Republic, as a result of the offensive actions of Russian troops, the settlement of Opytne of the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated," he reported.

According to the general, the enemy tried to stop the advance of Russian troops, for which he launched a number of unsuccessful counterattacks in the areas of the settlements of Sladkoye, Vladimirovka and Pavlovka.

"All counterattacks were repelled by artillery strikes and actions of Russian assault groups. The units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were dispersed and thrown back to their original lines," Konashenkov said.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy's losses amounted to more than 100 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded. One tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, two armored personnel carriers and seven vehicles were destroyed.
