OREANDA-NEWS The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Istanbul is aware of the situation with the missing Russian citizen Laura Pisarenko in Istanbul, the woman came to the GK, but even before receiving diplomats showed aggression towards the guards, for which she was detained by the police, RIA Novosti reported in GK.

"The Consulate General is aware of the situation with the Russian citizen. The consular office is in contact with her relatives and friends," the consulate said.

They noted that on December 30, 2024, Pisarenko arrived at the consular institution accompanied by two of her acquaintances in order to obtain a certificate of entry (return) to the Russian Federation due to the loss of identity documents. "However, even before the start of her reception by a consular officer, the Russian woman, for unknown reasons, showed unmotivated aggression towards employees of a private security company and the police who were on duty at the consular post, as a result of which she was detained by an arriving police squad," the diplomats said.

"Due to the lack of information from the Consulate General about the current whereabouts of L. Pisarenko, a corresponding request was sent to the Turkish competent authorities," the Civil Code noted.

"The Consulate General confirms its readiness to issue the necessary documents to the Russian woman and her relatives, including a certificate of return to the Russian Federation, provided they comply with the requirements established by law," the diplomats stressed.
