OREANDA-NEWS. The government will provide all social benefits under the sanctions, including maternity capital, Olga Batalina, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, said during a broadcast on the site of the ONF. According to her, cited by RIA Novosti, funds for this are provided both in the federal and regional budgets.
Today, under the conditions of sanctions, under the conditions of restrictions, people are worried: will all those large-scale obligations, <...> including such a large-scale measure as maternity capital, be preserved? Firstly, of course, yes, - said Batalina.
She clarified that 1.2 trillion rubles were allocated in the federal budget for these purposes in 2022 alone.
Earlier, Tatyana Butskaya, First Deputy Head of the Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, said that the capital and other social benefits for children in Russia would be preserved despite Western sanctions, and one more was added to the existing benefits in 2022 - for children from 8 to 16 years inclusive.
Maternity capital in Russia has been indexed by 8.4% since February 1, which corresponds to the level of inflation. Now the payment for the first child on the mother's capital increases to 524.5 thousand rubles. Parents of the second child will be able to receive 693.1 thousand rubles. At the same time, Russians who have previously received maternity capital will still be able to count on the amount of 168.6 thousand rubles. In addition to maternity capital, from February 1, the allowance at the birth of a child will increase by 1,095 rubles - up to 19,981 rubles.
