OREANDA-NEWS Russian troops defeated units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border areas of the Kursk region. A comprehensive strike is stated in the summary of the Ministry of Defense, published on the Telegram channel of the military department.
The strike was carried out by army aviation and artillery, the Defense Ministry said. Manpower and military equipment of 15 Ukrainian units fell into the affected area.
In addition, Russian long-range weapons hit the AFU facilities in the Sumy region. The daily losses of the enemy exceeded 200 people.
Earlier, the State Duma announced the imminent liberation of the Kursk region from the Ukrainian presence. The head of the defense committee of the lower house, Andrei Kartapolov, expressed the opinion that the Russian army will not stop after reaching the state border. "They need to be punished," he said of the Ukrainian units involved in the invasion.
