OREANDA-NEWS The Russian military liberated the village of Zhuravka in the DPR, the Ministry of Defense reported.
"As a result of the active and decisive actions of the units of the Center group of forces, the settlements of Kirovo, Ptichye, Boring, Karlovka, Cherished and Zhuravka of the Donetsk People's Republic have been liberated," the statement said.

In addition, the Russian army hit the formations of five mechanized, infantry, jaeger and amphibious assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as National Guard and defense brigades. She also repelled 53 enemy counterattacks.
In just a week, the losses of Ukrainian troops in this area amounted to: up to 3,515 military; four tanks; 14 armored combat vehicles; 32 field artillery pieces.
Zhuravka is a small village on the river of the same name, located between Novogrodovka and Grodovka. Control over the settlement makes it possible to strengthen the flanks of the group leading the offensive in the Pokrovsky direction.
