OREANDA-NEWS  On March 8, the commander of an anti-aircraft battery with the call sign Zvezda reported on the repulsed attack of the AFU on the Krasnolimansky direction in the LPR: servicemen of the Western Military District (ZVO) prevented a breakthrough attempt. According to the anti-aircraft gunner, during the withdrawal of the Russian military, the enemy fired at them with mortars. Also, the fighter, taking advantage of the moment, directly from the front line congratulated the women on the International Women's Day, wishing them happiness. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, over the past five days, Ukraine has lost about 850 servicemen in the Krasnolimansk direction. In turn, an anti-aircraft gunner with the call sign Milaga told about the destruction of the Ukrainian drone "Leleka-100" in the LPR. According to him, the UAV was detected at a distance of 1.5 km from the positions in the western direction.

Before that, on March 7, the Presidents of the United States and France Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron on the phone discussed providing assistance to Kiev and "imposing costs" on Moscow for the military operation. On the same day, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny met with the Commander-in-Chief of the NATO Joint Forces in Europe Christopher Cavoli, as well as the head of the General Staff of the Polish Army and the Chief of the General Staff of Great Britain. The military discussed new supplies of weapons to Ukraine, Zaluzhny also informed colleagues about the situation at the front, including in Artemovsk.
