The Presidential Library is preparing lectures on rare materials for the Russia Forum

OREANDA-NEWS The Presidential Library will be presented at the International Exhibition-Forum "Russia", which will open on November 4, 2023 in Moscow at once at 67 VDNH facilities and will last until April 12, 2024.
The library's participation program covers the entire period of the exhibition and several venues. On November 8 at 13:00 in Pavilion No. 57 "Russia is my History" within the framework of the marathon "Cultural Code: in search of identity", specialists of the Presidential Library will talk about the successful experience of including Internet links (QR codes) to the library's information resources in the new unified history textbook for grades 10-11. Links to resources are directed to thematic collections, the total volume of which is more than 15 thousand documents and materials on the history of Russia, theory and practice of Russian statehood and the Russian language.

The year 2024 is marked by such significant dates as the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Fascist blockade, the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia. Lectures on these topics are planned for Muscovites and guests of the city, which are based on digitized rare publications, exclusive photographs, archival files, diaries, letters, materials from private collections.
During the exhibition-forum at the stand "St. Petersburg" in sector B of Pavilion No. 75, a demonstration of videos about the resources of the Presidential Library and the possibility of access to them through structured digital collections dedicated to important historical events will take place. At the "Hospitable Petersburg" thematic season, which will be held from December 18, 2023 to January 7, 2024, certificates for a free excursion to the main building of the Presidential Library in the Northern Capital will be raffled off at the city's stand together with the Committee for Tourism Development. In addition, business meetings, signing of agreements on cooperation in the field of historical education, negotiations with future partners are expected within the framework of the Forum.
