OREANDA-NEWS  In the period from 2013 to December 2023, the number of dollar millionaires in Russia decreased sharply. In 10 years, their number in the country has decreased by 24 percent, according to the website of the consulting company Henley & Partners.

As of December 2023, a total of 68.4 thousand dollar millionaires and 43 thousand dollar billionaires lived in Russia. In addition, there were 409 people in the country with a fortune of more than $ 100 million, according to a joint study with New World Wealth analysts.

In the ranking of the BRICS countries with the largest number of dollar millionaires, Russia is on the fifth line. China became the leader of the list, where, as of December 2023, 862.4 thousand dollar millionaires lived. India was in second place in this indicator (326.4 thousand), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE, 116.5 thousand) closed the top 3. Brazil took the fourth place with a result of 82.4 thousand dollar millionaires.
