OREANDA-NEWS  The Nameless volcano, erupting in Kamchatka, on Wednesday afternoon threw out a column of ash to a height of 5 km above sea level, the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center "United Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences" reports.

"The volcano is covered with clouds, so an assessment of the scale of the phenomenon is possible only from seismic data," the report says.

Geophysicists recalled that on the eve of the forecast of the strengthening of the Nameless eruption was published, according to which the volcano can emit ash to a height of more than 6 km above sea level.

"It seems that the explosive phase of the eruption began with weaker emissions and should be expected to intensify in the near future. The volcano and its immediate surroundings remain dangerous to visit. The most dangerous are the eastern and southeastern slopes of the volcanic structure," the message says.

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, citing scientists, reported that an eruption of Nameless with a height of ash emissions up to 15 km above sea level is expected within a month. A pyroclastic flow may converge in a southeasterly direction with a length of up to 10 km.

Bezymyanny, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, is located in Kamchatka near Klyuchevskaya Sopka, about 40 km from the village of Klyuchi in the Ust-Kamchatsky district. The height of the Nameless One is 2882 m.
