OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has confirmed the procedure for reimbursing exporters for the transportation of industrial goods in 2025. The Russian Export Center, a subsidiary of VEB Group, will act as the government's agent for this support initiative.
Starting in 2025, the government will provide assistance based on the results of a competition, with companies competing based on their performance indicators for increasing export shipments. Businesses will be able to receive up to 60% reimbursement for the cost of transporting industrial products abroad, excluding shipments to unfriendly countries. Companies exporting timber products from the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts will be eligible for up to 30% reimbursement.
The maximum amount of compensation for each company will be 200 million rubles.
This assistance program has demonstrated its efficacy and is highly regarded by Russian exporters. Consequently, it has been extended for the current year, with 5.9 billion rubles allocated to support exporters in the form of reimbursement for transportation expenses related to industrial products. Naturally, the primary focus is on supporting high-tech exports, and manufacturers of machinery can expect to receive up to 70% of the subsidy. Additionally, 25% of the funds will be allocated to products from the timber industry," stated Roman Chekushov, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia.
"The approved mechanism provides companies with higher export growth rates with more opportunities to receive compensation for transportation expenses. This approach will enhance the efficiency of budget utilization and ensure optimal allocation of the allocated resources," said Alexey Solodov, Vice President of the Russian Export Center.
Exporters will have the opportunity to apply for government assistance through the digital platform «My Export».
The experts from the Russian Export Center will provide a comprehensive overview of the guidelines and process for obtaining reimbursement for the transportation of industrial goods in 2025 during a free webinar on January 17 at 10:00 Moscow time.
